Our Story
CEO and Principal Designer, Carnela RENEE Hill has been in the design field for over 21+ years transitioning from the corporate world and a part-time design business to the entrepreneurial world. The business was founded in the residential space with the owner and firm earning numerous awards including 2 times Lead Designer awards and recognized several times in the top 2% of designers by Houzz. CR Hill Design Group has been recognized in the top 20 designers in the RDU area and continues to provide luxury design services.
Shortly after the business launched, the owner was asked to tackle a bagel and coffee shop. The owner of Bagels & More stated, “If you can handle large corporate million dollar projects, then surely you can handle my small coffee shop.” and so it happened. With Carnela Renee’s project management background and design experience, the commercial side of the business has grown quickly and continues to grow.
In 2015, the renowned owner went to The White House to decorate for Christmas. During this 7 day journey, Carnela Renee was summoned to decorate in the Oval Office, special tree project in the dining room around the nutcrackers and fireplace as well as an interview and several guest appearance on the 2015 HGTV White House Christmas.
